One of the things about this course is that understanding powerful editing will translate into other technical areas of photography.

Suchita was always asking targeted questions that really allowed her to unlock how powerful editing is. Her work really inspires both myself and other students in the community.

The way she can now capture and edit light is amazing. She’s one to watch.

Let’s celebrate Suchita’s results! ~ Rachel

Two Loves Studio Student Success Story - Suchita Kalele

I knew how important editing was to create stunning images and I wanted to learn it, but I couldn’t find any good resources

I used to watch all those YouTube tutorials in the hope of mastering Lightroom, but it didn’t work. I especially remember, how one tutorial recommended that the first thing to do in Lightroom was to move the highlights slider to -100 and shadows slider to +100, and then to move the black/white slider till you get some of the details back into the image.

I used to edit like that and my images used to look super funky after editing. It was so overwhelming and frustrating.

My Images lacked the pop and oomph I wanted to my food photography editing

My images lacked the pop and oomph that I wanted in my work.

I felt like I didn’t have the talent for photography. I was disappointed in my work. For a long time, I didn’t tell my friends and family that I love food photography.

Even though I spend almost all of my free time doing it; because the images I was creating were not the images that I wanted to show them. My images lacked the pop and oomph that I wanted in my work.

For the first time, editing felt very approachable and doable.

I was following Rachel on Instagram and when the Lightroom Magic course came out, she shared some before and after images. I was pumped because those were the images I wanted to make.

For the first time, editing felt very approachable and doable.

The quality of my images has improved tremendously since taking Lightroom Magic.

I feel empowered and confident in my skills now. The quality of my images has improved tremendously, since taking the course even a couple of brands have approached me.

Learning Lightroom has changed the way I approach my photo shoots too. Knowing what I should get right in the camera, and what I can get away within the post, has made me much more efficient now.

I used to dread editing, but now I look forward to it.

My favorite part was learning what tools to use and when to use them the right way. Learning how to use tone curve, HSL panel and local adjustments (radial filter) was truly an eye-opener and game changer for me.

Lightroom Magic teaches you three core concepts of making great images and it was such a discovery for me.

To this day, before I start editing, I think about these three core concepts and what is lacking in my image. It has made such a big difference in my approach towards editing.

Another favorite part was that this course does not teach you how to edit one particular style of food imagery but so many different styles from bright and airy, moody, moody and bright, dark, dark and bright etc. and this was a revelation to me.

Now I don’t feel that my creativity is limited by my knowledge and knowing how to edit so many varied styles, I can create whatever I feel like.

I wanted to create images that make my heart swell with joy.

Before this course I was not happy with my images. I wanted to create images that make my heart swell with joy and bring me fulfillment. Now I have started to like my own work and it’s a big step forward for somebody as self-critical as I am.

Now I tell everybody that food photography is my passion and Its more than just a hobby.

Lightroom Magic starts with the fundamentals and builds up from there.

I like that this course is self-paced. I could learn as much or as little as I like, depending on the time that I have. It starts with fundamentals and builds from there.

It's very comprehensive and detailed but at the same time, it also is broken into bite-size lessons, which makes it easy for me to grasp the concept.

I truly believe that If you have taken this course and done what is needed, you will see the results, guaranteed. Another thing that stood out for me was the additional support on the Facebook group. There were bonus trainings and feedbacks from Rachel herself, that helped me a lot.

I am thinking of taking this hobby a bit further and to start working with brands, and food bloggers. I also want to work with stock agencies.

Lightroom Magic has taught me what a good teacher and good old hard work can do together, empower you to create beautiful images that bring joy and fulfillment to your creative self.
